What is ENVRI week?
ENVRI week is a week dedicated to Environmental Research Infrastructures. It is organised twice a year, in November and in May. ENVRI week hosts ENVRIplus project related sessions as well as several other sessions targeting different groups of stakeholders. Next (4th) ENVRI week will be held in Grenoble, France from 15-19 May 2017.

As part of the 4th ENVRI week, 1st EU Environmental Research Infrastructures–Industry Joint Innovation Partnering Forum will take place in MINATEC innovation campus. This event is an excellent opportunity for European environmental RIs and private industries to explore opportunities for joint innovation projects.

For the 4th ENVRI week participants, we will organise a possibility to visit ANAEE/LTER France SAJF site (Thu-Fri 18-19 May). You can find more information about this field visit here.
In addition, the 4th ENVRI week participants will be able to visit Coriolis Platform Hydralab. Visits will be organised on Wed 17th.

Transportation
By plane
- From Lyon Saint Exupéry Airport (LYS) to Grenoble
There is a shuttle bus service from Lyon Saint Exupéry Airport to Grenoble. Take the bus from the airport (Space “Welcome – The Square” – Level 1) to Grenoble bus station. The journey takes around 1 hour 5 minutes.
- From Geneva International Airport (GVA) to Grenoble
There is a shuttle bus service from Geneva Airport to Grenoble. Take the bus from the airport (Level “Arrivals”) to Grenoble bus station. The journey takes around 2 hours 15 minutes. Grenoble bus station is located next to the train station, in the city center.
By train
- From Paris to Grenoble train station
Grenoble is 3 hours from Paris (train station “Paris Gare de Lyon”) by TGV and 1 hour and 20 minutes from Lyon (train station “Lyon Part Dieu”). Europole hotel 4* and Novotel Grenoble centre 4* are next to the train station. See timetables here.
Local transportation
Grenoble bus station is located next to the train station, in the city center, where also tram B station “Gares” is:
From bus/train station take the tram B in direction “Gières Plaine des sports” to go to hotels (Hotel d’Angleterre 3*, Hotel de l’Europe 3* and Hotel Ibis Grenoble centre Bastille 3*). Hotel Europole 4* and Novotel Grenoble Centre 4* locate in walking distance from the bus/train station. See timetables here.
University Grenoble Alpes campus
From bus/train station take the tram B in direction “Gières plaine des sports” and stop at “Bibliothèques universitaires” station (20 minutes). IMAG building is just a 5-minute walk from the station. When leaving the station, turn right on Avenue Centrale. Turn right at the Diderot University restaurant (but actually you continue to be on Avenue Centrale) and IMAG building will be on your left (N°700), in front of Espace Vie Etudiante (EVE).
MINATEC innovation campus
In city center, take the tram B Direction “Presqu’île” and stop at “Cité internationale” station (8 minutes). The tram station is in front of the Parvis Louis Néel, you just have to cross the street Felix Escanglon and the Parvis to get to Maison Minatec.

– Natural History Museum and its Botanical Garden
– Bastille & Cable Car
Social dinner (17 May) will take place at Bastille, accessible by the famous cable car. The view to the city and the surrounding mountains is wonderful! If you prefer to walk up, you can visit Montée Chalemont and Musée Dauphinois on the way.
